FIBA RULES MODIFICATION
World League adheres to the foundational framework of FIBA basketball rules while incorporating a few slight modifications. For a comprehensive understanding of the FIBA basketball rules, please refer to the official document.

Two 23-minute halves.
During regular season:
Final final two (2) minutes of the second half enters “stop time” if the point difference between the two teams is 10 points or less.
During playoff Games:
Final two (2) minutes of the second half enters “stop time” if the point difference between the two teams is 15 points or less.
- Shot clock is twenty-four (24) Seconds.
- If the shot clock malfunctions and is not operational, the referee will manually count down the 24-second shot clock.
Overtime periods are set for a duration of two (2) minutes each.
In the final 30 seconds of each overtime period, it enters “STOP TIME”.
During the regular season:
If the game remains tied after the first overtime period, a second overtime is played.
In the second overtime, the first team to score a point wins the game.
During playoff games:
Overtime periods will continue to be played as needed until a winner is determined, without any limit on the number of overtime periods.
Each team is granted a total of three (3) timeouts per game.
Only two (2) timeouts can be use per half.
Unused timeouts from regular game time cannot be carried over into overtime.
During overtime periods, each team is entitled to one (1) timeout.
- When a team Accumulates eight (8) team fouls within each half, the opposing team is awarded two (2) free throws as a penalty.
- The team roster in has a maximum limit of 12 players.
- Players must participate in a minimum of four (3) regular-season games in order to be eligible for playoff.
- In the event of a technical or unsportsmanlike foul, the opposing team will be awarded two points and possession of the ball.
- After accumulating two (2) technical fouls, the player will be ejected from the game.
- Fighting, harassment, racial discrimination, or verbal abuse.
- Immediate ejection for offenders.
- Ejected players face a 1-game suspension, with the possibility of more severe consequences.
- No fighting allowed; three (3) game suspension.
- Ejections for punches or unsportmanlike contact, even if detected later through review.
- It is mandatory for teams to settle their registration fees before the commencement of Game 1.
- After payment is processed, it is important to be aware that we maintain a firm no-refund policy, and all sales are considered final without exceptions or refunds.

- If a team fails to field a minimum of 4 players on the court within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, that team will forfeit the game.
- The game clock starts running as scheduled, and the opposing team is awarded 2 points per minute if they become ready to play. This rule applies to both regular-season games and playoffs.
- The game is recorded as a loss for the forfeiting team.
- The team is required to pay a fine of $150 ( Email Money Transfer) to [email protected] before their next scheduled game.
- Note: To avoid the penalty, teams must inform the league in advance by sending an email to [email protected] by Thursday midnight if they know they will be unable to field a team for a game.
- Players do not need to be (by blood) the country they would like to play for or represent.
- Teams must register with the official country name recognized by international bodies.
- Tiebreakers are determined by point differential.
